Kristin Moore

Head of Lower Logic

What degree(s) do you hold? From what school(s)? What was your area of concentration?

I have a BA in Education, specializing in 4th-8th grade math/science

What is your previous work experience?

I taught 6th grade math for Navasota ISD for one year, then 3 years at Veritas Academy here in Austin teaching math in Logic and Rhetoric. This is my second year at ACS teaching 3rd grade.

Tell us a little about your family:

I am married to my husband, Robby, and we have three children. I am so excited to have all three of them at school with me this year!

How do you like to spend your free time?

I love to spend time outside being inspired by creation. I will often return from a hike or a swim or the park inspired to write, create, or play the guitar. I love to read about history, be it art history, the lives of historical figures, or historical fiction. I am currently reading The Story of Philosophy, which walks through the lives of Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, and the many who came after.

What do you hope your students will learn from you this year?

This year I hope my students learn to see God’s goodness and beauty on display as we study His design in the world around us and how He works in the world around us.
