An Austin Classical School Pilgrimage

As our study of medieval history continues, our Grammar students embarked on a pilgrimage this past week, which took them to the far reaches of our campus. They began their journey in “Canterbury”, wound their way through Europe, finally arriving in “Jerusalem” (which happened to be the sanctuary, of all places!).
Each Mustang was responsible for designing their own armor, including a shield and a surcoat. Throughout their travels, they studied famous leaders of the Christian church during that historical time period, while also learning about the “4 Ds of a Christian Soldier.” At each stop, they picked up a card for their Pilgrim Pocket Book, to remind them of the different characteristics they studied.
After our feudal feast, our castles, and now the pilgrimage, we can’t wait to see what these Mustangs do next!
